Admission
This programme consists of 3½ years learning in the clinical area integrated with theoretical instruction by the Board of Examination and Indian Nursing Council. This course begins on 1st of July of every year.
Eligibility
- Candidates should have completed 17 years and should be a spinster.
- Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 years of schooling..
- All group students are eligible
- Duration of Course: 3 and 4 years..
HOW TO APPLY
- All columns have to be filled in by the candidates in own handwriting.
- Xerox copy of the +2 mark list should be enclosed. if available. If it is in any other language other than English translated in to English and attested by the Principal of the school. If the subjects are written of the page where the expansion of the code is given has to be sent along with the copy of mark list.
- Community certificate has to be attached if he/she belongs to Backward / Most Backward / Scheduled caste category.
- Passport size Photograph 2 Nos. to be attached

CODE OF CONDUCT
The School of nursing would stress on disciplined behavior of every student in and outside the campus. Any student who violates the rules and regulations will be expelled immediately.
MODE OF EXAMINATION
- At the end of every academic year,, the Examination Board for Nursing Students of Government of Tamilnadu will conduct the examination. To get a pass, the students should score 50 % in each subject and each practical examination.
- Supplementary Examination
- If a student fails, the Board shall conduct supplementary examination within six months of the annual examination.
- If a student fails in one theory paper / practical, she may be allowed to proceed to the next year of study, She will sit for a supplementary examination held subsequently in the failed subject / practical. If she fails to clear supplementary examination she shall be allowed to sit again along with her next year annual examination.
- If a student fails in two or more papers or practical she will not be allowed to proceed to the next year. She will be allowed for supplementary examination in the failed subjects/practical only but will be eligible for the next year’s examination after one academic year from the date of passing the last examination.
- No candidate of category (a) shall be allowed to proceed to third year course, unless she has passed in the subject of the previous year. (backing to the second year)
- If a student fails in one theory paper / practical examination of third year, she may be allowed to proceed for internship. She will be allowed to sit for supplementary examination held subsequently for the failed subject / practical.
- If a student fails in two or more papers / practical she will not be allowed to proceed for internship. She shall sit for supplementary examination in the failed subjects / practical only. A student shall not be allowed to proceed for internship till she clears third year examination.

Objective:
The Main Objective of the course is to provide a comprehensive knowledge to the students with respect to various techniques of testing that are conducted as a part of diagnosis of various diseases such as blood test,blood typing, urine analysis and other tests without any errors. The course includes the study of diagnosing a diseases by utilising a clinical laboratory. It also involves a proper analysis of the reports of laboratory tests required to treat a particular diseases using the best medicine procedures and facilities.
